The Sullivan Hotel recently welcomed an experienced professional to its hotel management team. Randy Regan, a Rock Hill native, was hired as the hotel’s general manager.
“We are excited that Randy has become the newest member of The Sullivan Event Center team,” said Randy Resnick, co-owner of the hotel. “He’s got a great work ethic and a wealth of experience in the industry which made him the perfect candidate for the position. We look forward to him taking us to the next level.”
A hospitality veteran and sales expert, Regan joined the Sullivan Hotel and Event Center in Rock Hill, NY with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Before joining the team at the Sullivan, Regan served as the Front Office Manager for Resorts World Catskills Casino Resort and the Alder at Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, NY, where he was part of the opening team and assisted in the launch of the property. Prior to this, he took on the role of Front Office Manager for the Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center, where he directed the Guest Services, Reservations and Front Desk teams of the 375+ room hotel and timeshare.
Randy spent six years in the sales industry while consulting for multiple property openings in the upstate, NY area. Through his years of hotel service, he has proven leadership expertise in hospitality operations, sales, and staff development, making him an asset to the Sullivan Hotel and Event Center. His hospitality management career has also included positions with brands in the Intercontinental Hotels Group.
A native of Sullivan County, Randy has developed a true passion for the community where he lives and works. His commitment to his community allows him to provide a local and personalized touch to his guests’ stay. Randy currently resides in Rock Hill, NY with his wife and dog and enjoys taking advantage of the local food and craft beverages and live music scene in the area.
“I am thrilled to be joining the team at the Sullivan Hotel and Event Center,” added Regan. “Having grown up in the classic Catskills resort region, I fell in love with hospitality and have spent my adult career building my experience and expertise in this industry. I look forward to being a part of the renaissance of our region and being a part of the Resnick group’s quest to bring tourism back to Sullivan County.”
His responsibilities as general manager will be to oversee all aspects of property management, including maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards. Regan will also be responsible for the hiring, training and performance of all hotel staff.
