The Sullivan Hotel recently welcomed Michelle Rombousek, a highly motivated and experienced professional to its hotel management team. Rombousek was hired as the hotel’s general manager and will be responsible for continuing to foster and cultivate the vision of the hotel created by the Resnick Group.
“Michelle’s distinguishing career history made her an easy choice. She’s got the experience to lead The Sullivan in the right direction,” said Randy Resnick, co-owner of the hotel. “And if her experience wasn’t enough, she’s already demonstrated her abilities to be innovative and show initiative. We’re happy to be working with someone this talented.”
Rombousek has over 25 years of experience in management and facility operations. She started her career after graduating from Dover Business College with a degree in Business Management by opening her own trucking company. Not long after, she also opened an award-winning salon. Eventually selling her businesses, Rombousek accepted the position of a restaurant manager with Holiday Inn and EZ Lounge, and later became the general manager of Super 8.
“I decided at a young age that hospitality and helping others was something that I loved to do,” said Rombousek. “I’m excited to be a part of this team, and I’m confident that my leadership skills will be valuable to the growth and development of The Sullivan.”
Her responsibilities as general manager will be to oversee all aspects of property management, including maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards. Rombousek will also be responsible for the hiring, training and performance of all hotel staff, as well as continuing to establish other Resnick-owned businesses—Bernie’s Holiday Restaurant (BHR), Crust Italian Eatery, and Brew—as sister brands to The Sullivan.
